A tour for children and families to get to know FICO's vegetable gardens and animals.

A guided visit to enjoy direct experiences and learn simple lessons about our biodiversity.
You can choose between 2 itineraries: one in the morning dedicated to the stables and animals, one in the afternoon to explore the Park's vegetable gardens.

Stables and animals - 10:30-11:30 am

Accompanied by an educator from Cadiai, the children will get to know the animals of FICO and how their day begins. They will be able to see live animals eat, the milking of cows and rediscover the pleasure of being in contact with them. Children will learn all the characteristics of the various residents of the stables through games: fun facts, anecdotes, biological characteristics etc. At the end of the tour, the children and families will be taken to the multimedia ride called Humanity and Animals: an interactive experience where visitors can continue to explore this wonderful world.

The vegetable gardens - 3:30-4:30 pm

Together with an educator from Cadiai, the children will be accompanied on a visit to see what's happening in the vegetable garden during the current season. They will be able to personally rediscover the fertility of the earth and its fruits. With authentic tools, seeds, and plants they will sow and plant small plants, care for or pick the vegetables. The tour will help the children to recognize the plants, the leaves and the fragrances in a sensory journey in contact with the earth. Afterwards, the children with families will be able to visit the multimedia ride Humanity and Earth accompanied by a guide, where they will learn about 14,000 years of agriculture and the allure of our land.
