On OCTOBER 24, 2018 we celebrate the pinkest day of the year!
It was October 24, 1661 when Cardinal Farnese issued the first and historic “Notice and provision on the factory of mortadella and salami”, i.e. a document similar to the current Production Specifications of Mortadella Bologna PGI.
After 357 years, Mortadella Bologna PGI is still celebrated with #MortadellaDay: a day dedicated to the queen of cured meats with a rich program of events and celebrations in the city of Bologna.
A rich program of events that starts in Piazza Maggiore in Bologna and continues at FICO Eataly World from 1 pm.
