The fig is a delicate, sweet, satisfying, and tasty fruit with strong symbolic significance. Since 1930 the figs of the precious "Dottato cultivar" have been grown in an agricultural estate not far from the ancient Greek city of Paestum.
In 2010, Santomiele production moved to an elegant area in the ancient village of Prignano Cilento, where it processes both the figs and Mediterranean chocolate.
Starting from tradition, all products are carefully prepared and crafted by master artisans. Manual production techniques are used, without chemical additives. The fig molasses is exquisite, bringing out during processing particular aromas and flavors.
